This site is operated by Pilgrim Compass. By using it you accept what follows. It is short on purpose.

What you may do with it

Read it, print it, and take it with you. Quote a paragraph with a link back. Use the offline material for your own trip.

What you may not do is republish the site wholesale, or copy the measured data — walking times, climb times, verified schedules — as a dataset into another publication. That material is the work the site exists to do, and it took somebody walking up a hill with a stopwatch.

Photographs are ours or our contributors' and are not licensed for reuse. Map data comes from OpenStreetMap and carries its own ODbL licence.

Accuracy, and its limits

Every practical fact here carries the date it was checked and the date it is next due, because that is the honest way to publish something that changes. A bus timetable can change the day after we verify it.

So: we take real care, we say when we last looked, and we correct what we get wrong. We cannot guarantee that a fare, a departure or an opening time is correct at the moment you read it, and you should treat anything time-critical — a last bus, a flight connection — as something to confirm with the operator.

The hills

Križevac and Podbrdo are unmade paths over loose rock. Our climb times describe how long they took the person who walked them, not how long they will take you, and our daylight tables are arithmetic rather than a forecast. Deciding whether to go up, when, and in what shoes is yours.

Links out

We link to booking sites, transport operators and official sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they do. Some of those links earn us a commission — seehow we make money.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on the site.

Which law

These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country.
