Why this site exists
The devotional writing about these places is abundant and often beautiful. The practical writing is not. Transport pages contradict each other about whether a bus exists, prayer schedules are years out of date, and the best-organised guides belong to operators who need you to buy a package.
This site does one thing: it tells you what is actually true this month about getting there, staying there and finding your way around — and it shows you when each fact was last checked, so you can decide how much to trust it.

We sell nothing but the advice
Nobody pays to be listed. Several pages carry no commercial link at all.
Where a booking link earns us a commission, it says so directly above the link.
Somebody was actually there
Original photos, walking times taken on foot, prices paid at the counter.
Anything we haven't seen ourselves is labelled with how we know it.
